OUTreach is located in the lower level of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden (southeast corner of 23rd and Madison Ave.). The entrance is at the rear of the building adjacent to the parking lot. Please ring the doorbell for entry.
We offer snacks and beverages, a regulation pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, board games, cards, arts and craft supplies, an X-box with games and dance pads, computers and several TV's for video games and movies (many are LGBT themed).
The center is open on Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 6:30pm for open-minded youth, especially LGBTQ youth and their friends and allies, between the ages of 14 and 17. We are also open on Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:30 pm for young adults ages 18-30. One Voice, a social and networking group for LGBTQ adults, allies and friends, 18 and over, meets on the first and third Friday of each month at Grounds for Coffee, on 25th Street, just east of Wall.
OUTreach houses a library of LGBT books and DVDs, which we lend out on the honor system.
We host a montly meeting of PFLAG, Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. This provides an opportunity for parents and friends to interact with others to expand the dialog about concerns parents and friends might have for their gay children or friends. PFLAG meets on the third Thursday, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
We offer a safe, comfortable haven where you can come to be free of charge, judgment, harassment and discomfort that is a fixture in many of our lives. We offer a drug, alcohol, tobacco, hate and violence free zone.
